Questions to ask:-

1. What kind of membrane will you lay under the decking?

At Ashbrooke, we use Hessian which allows drainage under your deck whilst also preventing any growth of weeds etc... through your decking, as opposed to cheaper Viscreen, which holds water.

2. Who is actually going to undertake the job?

Some firms will send out squads to undertake their work for them, here at Ashbrooke, I personally undertake all work, therefore guaranteeing you a polite, friendly service with no swearing, loud music etc... in your garden.

3. Can you provide references and a photographic portfolio of previous work?

At Ashbrooke, we have an extensive portfolio of our work, showing various stages as proof of ownership.

4. Do you have Public Liability insurance?

At Ashbrooke, we are fully insured against any damage to your property or person including any accidental severance to utility cables.

5. Do you have a Waste Carriers licence?

At Ashbrooke we always remove your old fence. It is now law for any company who removes rubbish to hold a Waste Carriers licence. Ask to see proof of this, it will look like the image on the right.
